The Calgary MG Car Club was started in 1979 and exists for its members and for the purpose of enhancing the MG British style of motoring, and the preservation of the MG marque. You can read about the history of our club here.

Our membership welcomes MG owners and those people who support the style of motoring exemplified by the MG marque, mystique and history.

The MG style of motoring is characterised by the following sentiments;

• Appreciation of the history of the MG marque
• Appreciation for the work put into a car
• Appreciation of classic British cars
• British sports car heritage
• Camaraderie
• Enjoyment and Fun

• Friendly competition as a focus for a driving experience

Club Meetings

The club usually meets the second Tuesday of every month to do a little business, hear a presentation and socialize. Please check the Events Calendar for any last minute changes to the meetings. In addition to our meetings, our Events Coordinators do a great job of making sure there is always something happening. During nice weather this usually includes driving events, car shows, cruise night at the A&W and barbeques. We also enjoy participating in other clubs events such as the Three Hills car show, Rally in the Valley (British Columbia) and the European Classic Car Meet at Stanley Park. Once the cars are put away for the winter, our camaraderie continues with social activities such as indoor car racing, bowling and our monthly meeting.

As you come in the main entrance, head to the main hall on the left, we are meeting in the in the smaller area to the left of that main hall. (PS - Arrive early and have something to eat! The clubhouse sandwich was great, the burger looked great, nice grilled cheese, and fries are awesome! We might start going up there to eat on non-meeting nights!)
